According to the Foreign Office, the first round of talks under the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has been completed.
According to a joint statement issued by the Pakistan and Qatari Foreign Ministries, the two sides have agreed to establish a high-level committee to monitor the talks, and a 60-day roadmap for a final agreement has been approved.
The joint statement says that technical talks between Iran and the US will begin immediately, a line of communication has been established for the passage of commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the statement, it has been agreed to establish a de-confliction cell to implement the Lebanon ceasefire. Working groups related to the nuclear program and sanctions will be formed.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the de-confliction cell will include Lebanon and the mediator countries. The mediator countries will continue their efforts to advance the talks in a constructive environment. The technical talks will continue at the Bergenstock Resort for the rest of the week.
