Tehran: Iran has indicated that it will further increase its offensive capabilities in its military strategy.
According to Brigadier General Reza Naqdi, a senior advisor to the Revolutionary Guards, under the new military doctrine, the Guards have been instructed to acquire such a capability that can be used to operate in enemy territory if necessary. In an interview given to Iranian media, Reza Naqdi said that the Revolutionary Guards have been ordered to take their military capabilities to such a level that the war is not limited to Iranian borders but also has the ability to take it to the enemy’s territory.
He said, without naming any specific country, that this capability is of fundamental importance in Iran’s defense strategy and the Revolutionary Guards have been instructed to be fully prepared for this purpose so that action can be taken when necessary.
Brigadier General Reza Naqdi claimed that the US military budget is about 100 times higher than Iran’s defense budget, but according to him, all 14 enemy targets in the recent conflict failed. The Iranian official said that the aim of the new doctrine is to put Iran in a military position where it is not limited to self-defense but also has the ability to take a potential war to the enemy’s territory.
