UHS Launches Free Kidney Screening Drive

The University of Health Sciences organised a free kidney screening camp for employees in collaboration with the Pak Kidney Foundation’s KEEP Pakistan Healthy initiative.
UHS Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (Retd) Prof Sohail Sabir led a kidney-health awareness walk and stressed the importance of early detection and prevention.
Under the guidance of Prof Dr Shafiq Ur Rehman Cheema, employees underwent screening including blood pressure, BMI, urine protein/albumin, creatinine, eGFR and haematuria tests.
Experts urged people not to wait for symptoms and to seek timely screening and medical advice to identify kidney-disease risks at an early stage.
