According to Indian media, this incident took place in Belagavi district of Karnataka state where two friends were partying together.
Reports say that both friends worked in a local steel company. During the party, an argument broke out between the two friends over eating too many pieces of chicken, which resulted in a heated argument between the two.
The argument escalated to the point that the accused Arun Kumar allegedly took out a knife and stabbed his friend Sitaram in the chest and then immediately took the injured friend to a government hospital.
To hide his crime, Arun Kumar tried to make it look like an accident and claimed that Sitaram had fallen from a building and got injured, but Sitaram succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital during treatment.
According to media reports, the police reached the hospital, took Arun Kumar into custody and interrogated him, who confessed to his crime during interrogation.
