Speaker of the Islamic Shura Council of Iran Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf wrote a letter to Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadeq, inviting Speaker Ayaz Sadeq to attend the condolence ceremony for Ayatollah Khamenei in Iran.
The condolence ceremony for Iran’s martyred Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be held in Tehran on July 3, 2026.
According to the National Assembly Secretariat statement, the Iranian speaker expressed his best wishes to the Pakistani people, Speaker Ayaz Sadeq, and the members of the assembly. The Iranian speaker appreciated the strategic partnership and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran.
According to the statement, Baqir Qalibaf expressed deep sorrow and regret over the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei. The Iranian speaker expressed his desire to further strengthen the honor, dignity, and mutual cooperation between the two countries.
