De’Montmorency College of Dentistry Holds Convocation After 16 Years.

 

De’Montmorency College of Dentistry (DCD), Lahore, held its convocation ceremony after a gap of 16 years, awarding degrees and medals to graduates from 2010 to 2024.

Major General Prof Dr Nadeem Ahmed Rana attended as chief guest, while UHS Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nadia Naseem, former Punjab Health Minister Prof Dr Javed Akram, Prof Dr Zahra Khanum and Prof Dr Asad Aslam participated as guests of honour.

Addressing the ceremony, Principal Prof Dr Nabila Riaz congratulated the graduates and announced that future convocations would be held every two years. She highlighted the outstanding academic performance of DCD students in UHS examinations and noted that despite being nearly a century old, the college still lacks its own dedicated building.

Prof Dr Nadia Naseem administered the professional oath to the graduates. Prof Dr Javed Akram urged young dentists to serve patients with dedication and compassion, emphasizing that their real test begins in professional practice.

Chief guest Major General Prof Dr Nadeem Ahmed Rana, an alumnus of the college, described his participation in the convocation as a matter of great pride.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of BDS degrees and commemorative shields to distinguished guests.
