There is a cry of the situation in every gathering, there is a mention of hopelessness in every conversation, and the same phrase is on the tongue of every other person that “nothing can happen to this country now”. But the question is, has any nation ever developed only through doubts? Has any society been enriched only by spreading despair? Just turn the pages of history. Japan had become a ruin after World War II. Atomic bombs had fallen on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, industries were destroyed, the economy was devastated, and the world was understanding that this country might never be able to stand on its own feet. But the Japanese nation refused to accept despair as its destiny. They held onto hope, made knowledge a weapon, made hard work a motto, and in a few decades became one of the most developed economies in the world… The story of South Korea is similar. There was a time when poverty, war, and destruction were considered its destiny. Resources were limited, difficulties were numerous, but the nation decided that circumstances would not determine their destiny. They made education, research and continuous hard work their way, and today the same country holds a prominent place in the world of technology, industry and innovation… Germany also went through the devastation of two world wars. Cities were reduced to rubble, the economy collapsed, and the future seemed bleak. But the German nation did not surrender to despair. They rebuilt their country through discipline, honesty, law-abidingness and tireless work. Today Germany is one of the strongest economies in the world… The lesson of history is very clear. The fate of nations changes before resources. When hope is alive, when determination remains, when people believe that tomorrow can be better than today, then even defeat becomes a ladder of success. But where despair settles in the hearts, even the best resources cannot take nations forward. Now let’s take a look at ourselves. Since when have we made despair another name for realism? If a young person dreams a new dream, it is said, “Nothing has been kept here.” If someone talks about goodness, the answer is, what difference will it make if one person does it? If someone expresses good hope about a country, society or the coming tomorrow, they are considered naive. It is as if we have closed the door on our own minds that change is possible. Remember, hope does not mean turning a blind eye to problems. Hope does not mean that everything should be declared perfect. Hope is actually the belief that no matter how big the problem, human intention, hard work and collective consciousness can be bigger than it. This belief gives nations the courage to rise again after defeat… When a teacher makes his student feel that you can move forward, he is sowing hope. When a mother trains her children with good morals and big dreams, she is laying the foundation of hope. An honest worker, an honest civil servant, a just judge, a sincere journalist and a responsible citizen… All of them keep their share of hope alive. Nations are not built by a single hero, but by the sincerity of millions of anonymous characters who silently perform their duty every day. Therefore, if we really want a better future for our country, our society and our future generations, we must spread hope instead of despair, strengthen character instead of complaints, and instill the belief that a good step, no matter how small, can be the beginning of change… In the end, all I can say is that the destiny of nations is not written only in the buildings of parliament, it is written in the classrooms of schools, training homes, farms, factories, courts, hospitals, shops and in the character of millions of people who decide every morning whether they will be part of despair or hope. Today, we do not need to close our eyes to our situations, but rather, looking at them with open eyes, we need to instill the belief that if countless nations in history can rise from the ashes and lead the world, then we too can improve our future. There is only one condition… Let us not let despair rule our thinking…Remember! Despair ties a person’s hands, while hope puts the power of construction in those same hands. Despair announces the closing of doors, but hope finds new windows. Despair accepts defeat as fate, while hope finds a new beginning in every defeat. So let’s…!!
