If death comes with a date

BY STAR CH

Imagine for a moment… a message comes on your mobile… short, cold, merciless… “You have only 11 years, 3 months and 2 days left until your death…” So what will happen then…? The whole world will suddenly change for a man, the markets will be open as usual, traffic will be moving on the roads, politicians will still be making speeches, but everything inside a man will have broken down, because the greatest strength of a man is his ignorance, he dreams because he feels that there is still a lot of time, he commits injustice because he believes that the reckoning is still far away, he does not forgive because he feels that life is long, but the day death will no longer be a “secret”, that day a man will be truly alive for the first time…
Think…!!
If a father knows that he has only two years left, will he still spend only on earning money instead of giving time to his children? If a ruler knows that he will be in the grave in five years, will he still loot the nation’s treasury or will he open the files of his sins and cry in the dead of night…? If a rich man sees his last date, will his lawns be bigger or his prostrations longer…? Perhaps on that day more mosques will be built than banks, perhaps on that day people will see fewer clocks and more relationships, perhaps on that day hatred will seem so insignificant that a person will forgive everyone who broke his heart before going to sleep… Because “When death is no longer sudden, life is not a pride, it starts to feel like a respite”….
But wait a minute…!!
It is possible that we are considering humans too well, because it is also possible that after knowing the date of death, a person becomes more dangerous than before. A person who knows that he will not die for thirty years, perhaps he will become more fearless than before. He will not be afraid of the law, he will not be afraid of disease, he will not be afraid of accidents. He will understand that when death is written on a specific day, then who can kill me? And perhaps this belief will destroy the world. People will start laughing in front of bullets, wars will increase, crimes will increase, some people will forget even God in the pride of their “safe” history. Imagine…!! A politician knows that he will live for the next fifteen years, then he will also win elections, loot treasures, and crush his opponents, because he knows that the grave is still far away. On the other hand, a poor laborer, who knows that he has only six months left, may ask life for the first time, “I have earned my bread all my life, but when was I going to live?” Coming here, people will be divided into two groups. One is those who will become better after knowing the date of death. And the other is those who will become more ruthless, because the real problem is not death, the real problem is the human heart, the same heart that makes plans for the world even while standing in the cemetery, the same heart that starts calculating inheritance even after reading the funeral prayer. And the same heart that, despite knowing that “one day I have to die”, still lives as if I have to live forever. And perhaps the most terrifying scene will be when the “date of death” enters even into love. Think, if a girl knows that the person she loves will die after only three years, will she still marry him? Or will she convince her heart that such great sorrow is not necessary after such a short happiness. And if a mother is told on the very first day that her child will only live for ten years, she will start crying after every laugh, she will be breaking down inside even while celebrating his birthday, because sometimes a sudden separation hurts less, compared to a separation whose countdown a person is watching every day, maybe people in that world will start to fear love, because a person always loves more those things that give him hope of meeting him forever… And then businesses will also change… Insurance companies will disappear… Doctors’ clinics will start emptying… Astrologers will become unemployed, because when the date of death is known in advance, a person does not count fate, only the remaining days, but one question will still remain, if a person knows the date of his death, will he really change… Or will he do what he is doing today…? Because the truth is, we all know that we have to die, the only difference is that we do not know the date…and perhaps this ignorance is God’s greatest mercy on humanity.
Perhaps that is why the time of death has been hidden from man because if man knew his last date, life would no longer be “life”…. It would become a continuous countdown, people would not be a day on the calendar, but would be taking their breaths, every sunrise would not be joy, it would be an announcement of one day less, every birthday would not be a celebration, it would become a receipt of approaching death…. And then man would understand that the real peace was not in a long life, but in the happiness that there was still a lot of time left…
Think…!!
If you were told this evening that you only had one year left, would you still be the same person?…? Would you still harbor hatred…? Would you still carry around idols of ego…? Would you still just keep collecting money, while time was slipping through your hands like sand…? Perhaps not, but the tragedy is that there is no need to tell a person the date of death… Graves tell us every day what the final end is, funerals announce every day that the next turn could be anyone’s, graying hair, weakening body, passing age…
