Iran warns international community against closing Strait of Hormuz and other waterways
The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has warned that the continuation of the US naval blockade could lead to the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz and other strategic waterways.

According to a statement by the state broadcaster, Mohammad Baqer Zolghader said that the US’s continued provocations will not only further restrict the Strait of Hormuz but also result in the closure of other sea routes.

He warned that the consequences of Washington’s actions will be felt by the global economy, the energy market and the American voters.

It should be noted that on July 14, the US Central Command announced a renewed naval blockade of Iran at the direction of President Donald Trump.
