Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has bought a 19th-century historic castle in Ireland, along with hundreds of acres of land. The price of this new property of Zuckerberg, who is considered one of the richest people in the world, has also attracted significant attention.
According to reports, Zuckerberg has also bought about 440 acres of land next to Strancally Castle in Ireland. According to sources, he paid about 23 million to 35 million dollars for the historic castle and its associated land, which is more than 6 billion 38 million to 9 billion 70 million rupees in Pakistani currency.
According to a Meta spokesperson, Mark Zuckerberg and his family will continue to maintain this historic residence. Zuckerberg is eager to spend time in Ireland, where Meta’s international headquarters is also located.
The riverside mansion is surrounded by extensive greenery, while a 2001 media report on the interior of the historic building said it had at least 11 bedrooms, four rooms in the towers, a library, dining room and drawing room.
According to reports, Mark Zuckerberg bought the mansion from an investor who had lived in the property with his family for the past 25 years.
Zuckerberg’s new residence is not far from Meta’s international headquarters in Dublin. The company opened a data center in the same city in 2017, covering an area of about 31,000 square feet, which is about a 20-minute drive from the new mansion.
This is Zuckerberg’s first major property purchase this year. He has previously bought a house in the US city of Miami worth about $ 170 million.
