Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique paid a surprise visit to Mayo Hospital Lahore and inspected the OPD, ENT Ward and registration counters.
Expressing serious concern over unhygienic conditions at the hospital canteen, he ordered strict action against those responsible and directed the administration to improve cleanliness.
The minister also ordered the installation of additional fans, chairs and benches to improve comfort and convenience for patients and their attendants.
CEO Mayo Hospital Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Nabi and MS Dr. Abdul Mudabir Rehan were also present.
Khawaja Salman Rafique said providing quality healthcare, a clean environment and better facilities to patients in government hospitals remains the government’s top priority.
