Recently, Mathira gave an interview in which she talked about different aspects of life, including men and women.
During the interview, she supported men and said that men are abused a lot in our society. I feel that if a woman asks a man how he touched her, people will come and beat her. People will not ask whether he touched you or not.
She said that we have turned our men into machines. Men are not made to feel and we keep putting responsibilities on them. They get so absorbed in the same work that they are neither a good father, nor a good brother, nor a good husband. Then they become bad for everyone.
Mathira said that there are many men in our society who are suffering from depression but they cannot show their feelings to anyone. They cannot sit among their friends and say that their heart is hurting a lot today.
