Recognized Pakistani actress and host Sanam Jang has shared her interesting experience with the e-challan system in Karachi with her fans, revealing that she has been issued six driving fines in just one month of returning to Pakistan, including some that she says she did not commit the relevant violation.
Sanam Jang said in a video released on Instagram that she has only been in Pakistan for a month, but her father is also very angry after receiving multiple e-challans in this short period. She said that she herself is surprised to receive such a large number of fines.
The actress explained that the first fine was for talking on a mobile phone while driving, which she admits was her mistake. According to her, if she was using the phone while driving, the fine would have been absolutely correct, however, after that she also received such challans for which she did not understand any reasonable reason.
Sanam Jang said that she was also fined for not wearing a seat belt, although she always fastens it before driving. She said that since she lives abroad, using a seat belt has become a permanent habit for her and she does not even start the car without it. She added that she does not understand why fines are being imposed for things that she did not do. According to her, on the one hand, e-challans are being received and on the other hand, she is being scolded at home for this matter. After this video of Sanam Jang, users on social media also shared their experiences regarding the e-challan system, while some people complained about wrong fines in this system and demanded that the relevant authorities further improve the effective verification system.
