Prominent religious scholar Maulana Syed Salman Hussaini Nadvi has passed away. The news of his death was released on his official Facebook page, according to which his burial and funeral prayers will be held after Asr prayers at Jamia Syed Ahmed Shaheed Katoli Malihabad.
Maulana Syed Salman Hussaini Nadvi was a teacher at Darul Uloom Nadwat Ulema, a renowned religious institute in the subcontinent, and his services were of exceptional importance in religious, educational, intellectual and international academic circles.
Scholars, religious institutions and various social figures from all over the world, including Pakistan and India, have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the news of his death.
Maulana Syed Salman Hussaini Nadvi was equally fluent in Arabic, Urdu and English. He authored dozens of books and research articles on Seerah, Hadith, Fiqh, Dawah, Islamic thought and contemporary issues. Along with his academic services, he was also active in inter-religious harmony.
His style of speaking was effective, scholarly, and engaging, which earned him wide acceptance in various countries, including the subcontinent.
