DIG Malakand Syed Fida Hussain told Geo News that the blast took place at Kabal Chowk near the gate of Kabal Police Station, when a protest by local youth was going on there.
According to the latest data provided by the Assistant Commissioner Kabal, 5 people were martyred and 15 were injured in the incident.
DPO Swat Muhammad Omar said that a human head was also found at the blast site, which is suspected to be that of the alleged suicide bomber.
According to DIG Malakand, the suicide bomber was trying to enter the Kabal Police Station. The officers on duty stopped the attacker, after which the attacker blew himself up near the gate.
