The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged a walk, a seminar, a cake cutting ceremony and different sports activities to mark the National Minority Day to acknowledge the invaluable services and efforts of the minority community in the country’s development, as well as to promote equal rights, brotherhood, religious freedom, social harmony and to foster mutual affection by propagating the message of brotherhood.
Earlier UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani led the walk while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Dean Faculty of Bio-sciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman and a large number of faculty members, students and staff members from different departments were participated.
A seminar held in UVAS Auditorium, speaking on the occasion Prof Dr Masood Rabbani acknowledged the role of minority employees and their efforts/services in the development of Pakistan and for university as well. He stressed on the equality and promoting harmony among all the employees of UVAS. He said UVAS ensures equal respect and rights to all its employees belong to any religion. He said it is the need of time to defeat all the hatreds & conspiracies and spread this massage that ‘we all are united & we are Pakistani’.
Later, UVAS Directorate of Sports Board arranged different sports activities including badminton, tug of war, archery and rifle shooting for its minority staff. All the minority employees of UVAS participated in these healthy sports activities.

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Western Scientific organized a seminar on “Best Scope Microscopes: Advanced Solutions for Scientific, Medical, Research and Industrial Applications” at City Campus Lahore.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani presided over the seminar while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Prof Dr Ali Ahmad Sheikh, Chief Executive Western Scientific Mr Khalil Mahmood Bhatti and number of faculty members and students were present.
Mr Khalil Mahmood Bhatti gave detail presentation on introducing the Best Scope range of microscopes and imaging solutions while Director Marketing Sales Mr Fahad Khalil Bhatti spoke about the range microscopes & allied equipment by Western Scientific. Practical hands-on demonstration of various microscopes and accessories also conducted and allowing participants to explore their features and applications.
